Posted on Aug 8th, 2017 Comments (0)
It’s that time again! I wanted to send a quick notice to all residents to provide some information on the upcoming Lancaster Pool Party that is scheduled for August 19th. We plan to do things differently this year and there are a couple of details I want to make you aware of.
Most Important: The entrance to the neighborhood at 131st & Antioch will be closed to Mackey St. at 4:00. You will need to use an alternate entrance for the evening.
To obtain your food ticket, You MUST check-in at the designated table. Your HOA dues must be paid current to be eligible for the food voucher. If you currently have a balance due, now is the time to settle the balance so you don’t miss out on our night of fun!
There will be TWO food trucks available to choose an entrée from (Taco Republic & Street Wings).
  •      Check in will begin at 5:00.
  •      Each household will be given (20) $1 tickets that can be used at the truck of your choice.
  •      You must be present to receive tickets
  •      Trucks will begin serving at 5:30 and will serve for 2 hours.
  •      We are limited on time so please be sure and come early so you don’t miss out!
  •      Both trucks offer a variety of items to choose from and range in price accordingly.
  •      If you spend beyond the $20 in tickets you are given, it will be your responsibility to cover the additional cost
  •      Each truck will accept cash or card for purchases.
  •      There will not be any type of refund for unused tickets
  •      Tickets will not be replaced if lost.
Kona Ice will be back on site to offer a little break from the heat! This will be provided completely FREE! Kona will be available from 7:30 to 8:30 (after the food trucks roll out).
In the meantime, if you have any questions—please feel free to reach out to me.  Email: meganstokes20@gmail.com
Hope to see everyone there!
Yard Waste Missed Pickup
Posted on Apr 7th, 2016 Comments (0)
As we made you aware, April 1st is the beginning of the yard waste removal portion of our contract.  And as you are probably aware, WTA missed it all in yesterday's pickup.
We contacted WTA and they have reported that they will be picking it up in the next 48 hours.  They have also left a recording of all the homes associations they have missed on their answering service.  We are one in a long list.
So please leave your bags out and they will hopefully take care of it by the end of the week.  Thanks for your patience with this matter!

Town and Country (Now WCA) has informed the association that yard waste pickup will not begin until April 1st and will continue through October 31st.  Yard waste will be picked up starting April 1st on your regular scheduled trash days.
You may place up to 6 bags with your trash and recycling for pickup.  During fall there will be not be a limit on the number of yard waste bags you can have picked up.
Recent Burglary

This is just a courtesy email to make you aware that two homes were broken into recently in the Lancaster subdivision.  Overland Park Police were on site and are presently trying to address this situation.
The Board would like to remind all LHA residents to keep some exterior lights on at night, secure your homes and cars, keep garage doors open as little as possible and generally look out for one another.
Thank you!

Homeowner Tree Information

Here is some information you may find helpful regarding neighborhood trees. Winter being the best time to prune trees & shrubs. As you walk down our sidewalks there are trees with low hanging branches. Please be courteous to neighbors and keep trees trimmed to an appropriate height. The City of Overland Park requirements are 8 feet over the sidewalk and 12.6 feet over the street.
Please note that our contracted trash & recycling company Town & Country does NOT pick up yard waste in December or January.
Please be aware that Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has been identified in the Johnson County, KS area this year. If you have Ash Trees you may want to contact an Arborist to see if preventative measures or treatment is needed.
